Top 5 most intriguing games on the Chicago Bears' 2023 schedule

The Bears have unveiled their 2023 schedule, and while requiring the third-fewest miles of travel, they will play nine of their games away from home and face the toughest NFC North schedule.

Chicago will play every team in the AFC West and NFC South in addition to the divisional games. The games against the Browns, Commanders, and Cardinals complete the non-divisional schedule. So let's examine the Bears' most captivating contests from 2023.

#5. Bears vs. Panthers

Week 9: Thursday, Nov. 9 at 7:15 CT

The ability to win the games that are expected of them is a sign of a good club, and the Panthers will be the opponents in Week 9 at Soldier Field. It would be unfortunate if the Bears were unable to defeat a rookie quarterback at Soldier Field. All indications point to Bryce Young starting for Carolina.

It's also a great chance for new wide receiver D.J. Moore and running back D'Onta Foreman to get even with their former squad.

#4. Bears at Lions

Week 10:  Sunday, Nov. 19 at Noon CT

#3. Bears vs Vikings

Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 15 at Noon CT

After their devastating Week 5 loss in 2017, the Bears still have unfinished business. After coming back from an 18-point deficit to take a 22-21 lead, Chicago lost after giving up the game-winning touchdown and fumbling on the drive that would have tied the score.

However, the Bears should be able to avenge their setback from the previous season thanks to better offensive tools and a stronger defense.

#2. Bears at Chiefs

Week 3: Sunday, Sept. 24 at 3:25 p.m. CT

The reigning Super Bowl champion Chiefs will host the Bears at Arrowhead Stadium. The former head coach of Chicago, Matt Nagy, is now the offensive coordinator for Kansas City, and former general manager Ryan Poles is working for both teams again.

What better way to gauge the Bears' readiness for competition than to pit them against a superior squad like the Chiefs? Additionally, it's a perfect setting for a Polish vengeance game.

#1. Bears vs. Packers

Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 10 at 3:25 p.m. CT

Aaron Rodgers is no longer a concern for Chicago for the first time in 15 years. Jordan Love now holds the reins after the longtime Bears owner left for the Jets.

When quarterback Justin Fields of the Bears was selected, he made a commitment to challenge the Packers' hegemony in the rivalry. Despite his past inability to produce, he has a fantastic chance in Week 1 to shape the Bears-Packers relationship going forward.
