4 NFL teams that can sign Ezekiel Elliott for 2023-24 NFL season

The Dallas Cowboys announced the departure of running back Ezekiel Elliott, terminating the veteran's contract and leaving him as a free agent heading into the 2023-24 NFL season.

Beyond his irregularity in the last seasons, he is seen as one of the best running backs available, and we present you 4 teams that could sign him for the new campaign.

Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers continue to search for an offensive dynamic that can give them better arguments to win in the NFL and although at the moment running back Austin Ekeler is their main piece in the ground game, he requested permission from the team to listen to offers for a change, which leaves a lot of uncertainty for the team.

Elliott could arrive as a center option in case Ekeler is able to leave or even play the role of the star running back's offensive pair, similar to what he showed with Tony Pollard in the Cowboys.

Buffalo Bills

At the moment, the Bills do not have a top-level running back on their roster after Devin Singletary's contract expired, which has him listening to offers in NFL free agency. There is talk of Joshua Kelley as the one chosen to replace him, but it would make more sense to have someone like 'Zeke' Elliott to compete with him and back him up in the role.

Cleveland Browns

There doesn't appear to be much intention by the Brows to re-sign Kareem Hunt or D'Ernest Johnson as relievers for Nick Chubb, so it's more likely that they will look for a free agent to fill this role on the roster. Because of Elliott's style of play and his previous experience with the team's offensive coordinator Bill Callahan, he seems like a solid candidate to come to Cleveland.

New Orleans Saints

In the Saints there are many things to define thinking about the future and even more after the series of changes they are having especially on the offensive side. Alvin Kamara is projected to be the axis of their ground game, but even without defining whether Mark Ingram will continue or not, they will need to find a power reliever for the position, something that Elliott could assume without much trouble.
