Steelers QB Byron Leftwich sprains MCL (SportingNews.com)
September 3rd, 2010Thursday night, Byron Leftwich left the Steelers’ preseason finale with a knee injury. By Friday morning, an MRI revealed the Pittsburgh quarterback has a second-degree sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his left knee, according to multiple reports. The test results did not show a complete tear of the ligament, but according to an ESPN.com report, the sprain will likely keep Leftwich sidelined for at least the Steelers’ regular-season opener against the Falcons on Sept.
