September 3rd, 2010Detroit Lions rookie defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has been fined $7,500 by the NFL for his roughing-the-passer penalty on Cleveland quarterback Jake Delhomme. Suh grabbed Delhomme's face mask and twisted it. He wrapped his arms around the quarterback's head and slammed him to the ground in an exhibition game last Saturday.

September 3rd, 2010The NFL fined Detroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh $7,500 for his controversial hit on Cleveland Browns QB Jake Delhomme last week, an NFL official tells ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The league was expected to review the play, during which Suh grabbed Delhomme’s facemask then held the quarterback’s head as he slammed him to the ground. At the time of the play, the Lions were assessed a 15-yard penalty, but some thought Suh should have been ejected. Kyle Vanden Bosch said that would have been an overreaction.
