September 6th, 2010The Ravens' quest to upgrade the passing game received another big boost Monday, when the team signed T.J. Houshmandzadeh to a one-year deal. Houshmandzadeh, who turns 33 on Sept. 26, became a free agent Saturday when released by the Seahawks. The Ravens will pay Houshmandzadeh the veteran minimum of $855,000, with the Seahawks picking up the remainder of his guaranteed $7 million salary, according to ESPN. Houshmandzadeh figures to be the No. 3 receiver in Baltimore, working behind starters Anquan Boldin and Derrick Mason.

September 6th, 2010Darrelle Revis is ending his holdout and joining his teammates for what they hope is a Super Bowl run. The All-Pro cornerback and the New York Jets agreed in principle to a four-year contract Sunday night, reaching a deal a week before the team's season opener. The Jets wouldn't disclose financial terms, but the Daily News reported it was worth $46 million, including $32 million guaranteed.

September 5th, 2010Hours after a meeting with coach Rex Ryan in South Florida, New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis agreed to end his holdout and sign a new contract. FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports the deal is for seven years but could be voided after four years. Salary figures were not immediately available. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the contract likely will set a franchise record but not a league record. Schefter adds that Revis will fly to New York on Monday to sign the deal, and that he will be in uniform for the team's season opener Sept.
