There are no more original Houston Texans. Kicker Kris Brown, the only player left from the inaugural 2002 season, was cut by coach Gary Kubiak on Friday as NFL teams began paring to the 53-man roster limit for the regular season. Brown was beaten out by Neil Rackers, a free agent signed by Houston in the offseason.

The New York Giants acquired quarterback Sage Rosenfels and running back Darius Reynaud from the Minnesota Vikings on Friday for undisclosed draft picks. The Vikings announced the deal on their website. They will receive a pick in next year's draft and a conditional selection in the 2012 draft. Rosenfels will back up Eli Manning.

The New York Giants have acquired quarterback Sage Rosenfels from the Minnesota Vikings for an undisclosed draft pick. A person within the league who is familiar with the trade confirmed the Giants have dealt for Rosenfels to back up Eli Manning. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal has not officially been announced.

The Minnesota Vikings have traded veteran quarterback Sage Rosenfels to the New York Giants for an undisclosed future draft pick, NFL.com reports. Rosenfels will back up Eli Manning with the Giants. New York needed a No. 2 after losing Jim Sorgi to a season-ending shoulder injury. Rosenfels has made 12 career starts with the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans, but he did not get into any games for the Vikings last season. "Every quarterback wants to play," Rosenfels, 32, recently told The Associated Press.
