September 3rd, 2010Denver Broncos linebacker Elvis Dumervil is out for the season. Dumervil on Friday night confirmed via Twitter reports that he would be placed on injured reserve Saturday. NFL Network's Michael Lombardi was first to report the move. "THIS SEASON FOR ME IS OVER DUE TO MY INJURY," Dumervil tweeted. The NFL's sack leader in 2009 suffered a torn pectoral during training camp. The Pro Bowler, who had surgery last month, added, "THE BRONCOS HAVE A GREAT RECOVERY PLAN FOR ME TO BE BACK 100% & MORE!"
